
About Us
The National Association for Canine Detection (NACD)provides education, training, and certification in the care, handling, and training of K9 teams for law enforcement and public safety. These teams support community protection and serve public organizations, as well as local, state, and federal agencies.
Charitable work
The National Association for Canine Detection (NACD)—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Pennsylvania—partners with Red, White & Blue K9 to provide trained service dogs to injured veterans and first responders, all at no cost to the recipients. These dogs are made possible through fundraising, grants, and charitable support.

Core Training
• To provide K9 training classes, seminars to improve the
the ability of the K9 teams to execute their assigned job.
• To establish a minimum-working standard and approve the
abilities of the canines in police and detection work, so they can
better serve the community.
• To coordinate the exchange of ideas of any advanced training
techniques utilizing police canines
•To promote camaraderie and teamwork among all those
interested in the training and utilization of a canine in the field.

K-9s are certified as part of a “K-9 Team,” meaning that each K-9 undergoes training that meets and exceeds industry standards and provides examinations through the National Association for Canine Detection.
These are conducted with a select handler with live explosives or Illegal drugs.
