About National Association for Canine Detection

National Association for Canine Detectionis a non-profit corporation and shall be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code.


The Purpose of the National Association for Canine Detection is to provide educational opportunities, training, and certifications regarding the care, handling, and training of K9 teams for law enforcement, other private and public safety working K-9’s teams used to provide services to aid in the protection of communities, public organizations, local, municipal, state and federal agencies areas.

• To provide K9 training classes, seminars to improve the 

   the ability of the  K9 teams to execute their assigned job.


• To establish a minimum-working standard and approve the

  abilities of the canines in police and detection work, so they can

  better serve the community.


• To coordinate the exchange of ideas of any advanced training    

  techniques utilizing police canines


•To promote camaraderie and teamwork among all those

    interested in the training and utilization of a canine in the field.
